Are all your engineers Gas Safe registered
Yes, every one of our engineers are fully qualified to work safely on all gas appliances. This is a legal requirement which any individual working on gas systems must have. Our company’s GAS SAFE registration number is 616847.
Yes – For £5 million public liability and for £10 million employers’ liability.
As well as installing boilers - do you install complete central heating systems?
Yes we do. And we can power your new central heating system with gas, electric or warm-air – whatever is best for you and your home.
...And pressurised hot water systems?
The growing popularity of “unvented” mains pressure hot water systems and “thermal stores” for providing hot water to showers has encouraged us to invest in the necessary skills and qualifications for our engineers to professionally install these systems.
Do you charge for estimating and quoting for central heating installations?
What about quotations for repairs?
We are always happy to help. In situations involving boiler faults, an engineer visit if often required to establish the cause of the problem and considerable time may have to be invested to identify the fault and propose a remedy. Consequently, depending on the nature of the problem, we are obliged to make a reasonable charge for our engineer’s expertise and time spent on identifying the problem that requires to be fixed. How promptly can you respond to my boiler breakdown?
We aim to provide all Gillies Care customers with a fast, reliable and efficient service, and wherever possible, we will provide a same day service
Is there a call-out charge in addition to the engineers' time?
No – customers are only charged for our engineer’s time. And our minimum charge provides for up to 60 minutes on-site.
Do you service and repair all types of Gas appliances including Gas fires?
We service and repair all gas appliances – but please note we are not service agents for all boiler manufacturers. Contact us to find out more or simply book a service call on-line. Please note, however, as most gas-fire suppliers provide an installation service, we don’t actually install gas fires.
...But do you install Gas cookers?
Yes, we install new gas cookers, hobs and ovens. Due to health & safety reasons, we do notinstall second-hand appliances.
What about liquid petroleum gas (LPG) systems and appliances?
Yes – all or our engineers are fully qualified and experienced in the installation, servicing and repair of LPG appliances and systems.
In Service-call terms, what is the precise definition of AM and PM appointments?
AM appointments mean that our engineer will call between 08.15 hours and 13.00 hours. PM appointments are defined as a visit between 13.00 and 18.00 hours.
Do your engineers work at weekends?
Only in the case of emergencies or in special circumstances.
Do you supply and install bathrooms and kitchens?
Yes we do. We offer a full expert design & installation service for all bathrooms and kitchens as well as finance packages to suit every budget.
